I think it's time I wrote a little something to explain where I've been to any of the people who may still be following me. It's been some time since the last time I uploaded any art, or wrote a journal entry. Anyway... I won't go into all the personal details about it, but life has really kicked me in the teeth the last year or so, and I'm not talking about COVID19 or the recent rioting - though neither of those have helped by any means. It's been a struggle of mine for a while, but through it all, art has taken a back seat. For one thing, it was forced there when my computer took a dump on me a few months ago. I'm still trying to get the money together to purchase a new one. While my artwork is all done by hand, there's a lot of preliminary work done on the computer, and heck - even if I got something done, scanning and uploading the art online takes a computer to do. Both my husband's and my jobs had been deemed "essential" during this pandemic. It's been helpful to have money
Well, I got myself a newer password. Ever since deviantart asked me to make a new password, I haven't been able to remember the new "strong" password. I had my old one for 7 years, so I was pretty set on that one.
ANYWHO, I finally decided that I should get a new new password, one that I could remember, so I can go on here again.
That explains my lack of updates - my really bad memory.
I've been dealing with some intellectual property issues on tumblr, which is making me kind of question posting my work on there. As far as I know, I've never had that problem posting my work on deviantArt. So we'll see; I love tumblr to pieces, but I think
Here's my tumblr entry for the show I went to on Thursday. http://artfortheroad.tumblr.com/post/6388758586/holy-concert-batman
Hope you enjoy:
Yesterday was…amazing. We got our nice little lawn seats, laid out a blanket and played cards while waiting. It was gorgeous out…but when Matthew And The Atlas Came on (they were great, by the way) you could see lightening in the distance…and then the skies opened up. It was a complete deluge, and then the hail started and the wind kicked up. Most people would run for cover, but Mumford & Sons fans weren’t going to let a little thing like a monsoon keep them from seeing the boys.
As a Philadelphian and a M&S enthusiast, I've been pretty interested in a recent Philly/Mumford-centric movement. Here's what I had to say, please check it out and lend your support:
